🧭 Help – how to use PerunPath?

PerunPath is a library of tourist trails - hiking, cycling, kayaking, climbing and many others. Each route includes:

• An interactive map with the route
• GPX/KML file to download to GPS or phone
• Parameters: distance, elevation, difficulty, time
• Photo gallery from users

• YouTube videos recorded along the route
• Markers (pins) with noteworthy points
• Practical information: water sources, accommodation, parking, threats
• Trips based on this route

How to add a trail?

Log in and click "Add Trail" in the menu. Upload a GPX or KML file - the rest of the parameters will be filled in automatically.

How to add a photo to the trail?

Go to the trail website → "Photos" tab → upload a photo. Photos are moderated before publication.

How to add a pin (tag)?

On the trail page → "Pineski" tab → click on the map in the place where you want to add a marker. You can describe the type of place (shelter, view, fountain, etc.).

Videos from the tour

The "Videos" tab on the trail page allows you to add and watch YouTube videos recorded on this route. Paste only the video ID (the URL part after ?v=).

Trips are planned trips created by users that can be joined by others. Each trip has:

• Date and time of departure

• Travel style (hiking, bike, kayak, urbex, camping, other)
• Group type: for everyone, women's, men's, accessible (for people with limited mobility)

Jak dodać trip?

Log in → menu "Trips" → "Add trip". Complete the form and publish - other users will see it on the list.

How to join the trip?

Go to the trip website and click the "Join" button. The organizer will see your application and may accept or reject it.

How to start live tracking?

1. Zaloguj się na konto

3. Click "Start session" - give it a name and decide whether it should be public
4. Your position will be visible on the public map in real time

Creators and logo in live tracking

If you have an active creator profile and an uploaded logo, your logo (instead of your initial) will be displayed on the map during the live session.

Każdy użytkownik ma publiczny profil dostępny pod adresem /@nazwa-użytkownika/. Profil zawiera:

• Activity statistics: completed routes, kilometers, elevation gain, regions
• Achievements (badges) earned based on activity
• Activity chart for the last 12 months
• Map of completed routes
• Recent activity (feed)
• Trips and microblog entries

How to edit your profile?

Log in → "My profile" → "Edit profile". You can change the photo, description, social links and privacy settings.

Achievement badges

Badges are awarded automatically

Creator to rozszerzony profil dla YouTuberów, blogerów i influencerów turystycznych. Aktywuje się po oznaczeniu konta jako „Twórca" w ustawieniach profilu.

What does a creator profile offer?

• Featured YouTube video displayed on profile
• Automatic feed of recent videos from YouTube channel (RSS)
• Creator logo displayed during live tracking
• Profile banner (custom background)
• Creator badge (Bronze/Silver/Gold) visible next to name
• "Follow" button for other users
• Number of followers

How do I set up a creator profile?

1. Go to "My Profile" → "Edit Profile"
2. Zaznacz opcję „Jestem twórcą treści"
3. Upload your logo (square, min. 200×200px) – it will appear on the live map
4. Enter the YouTube channel ID (UCxxxxxxxx) - the video feed will load automatically
5. Enter the ID of the featured video - it will appear as a player on your profile
6. add linki: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, page WWW

Where to find YouTube channel ID?

Go to your YouTube channel → "Customize Channel" → "Basic Info" tab → Channel ID (starts with UC).

YouTube videos assigned to routes

On the page of each trail, in the "Videos" tab, you can add your video recorded on this route. The video will be visible to all visitors to this route.

The PerunPath Forum is a discussion space about tourism, gear, trails, and everything outdoor. It is divided into topic categories.

How to write on the forum?

Log in → "Forum" in the menu → select a category → create a new topic or reply to an existing thread.

Moderators and administrators can add attachments

The PerunPath Blog features official editorial posts: platform updates, hiking guides, gear reviews, and trip organization tips.

Posts are assigned to categories (tags) – you can filter the blog by topic.

The global search from the top navigation bar searches simultaneously in:

• Trails (by name, description, region)
• Trips (by title and description)
• Blog posts
• Forums

PerunPath supports GPX and KML files - standard GPS data formats used by tourist devices and applications.

Downloading GPX file

On the trail page you will find the "Download GPX" and "Download KML" buttons. You can upload the files to Garmin, Suunto, Polar or import them to Komoot, Strava, Wikiloc.

Send to phone

The "Send to phone" button generates a file ready to be opened in the PerunPath mobile application or other navigator.

Export to Garmin

Format Garmin FIT/TCX jest obsługiwany w opcji „Export Garmin" .

POI (Points of Interest) is a database of noteworthy points

How to find places?

Menu "Trails" → "Places". You can filter by POI type and browse on the map.

How to add a place?

Log in → "Places" → "Add a place". Provide location (lat/lon), type, description. Places are moderated before publication.

Click "Register" and enter your email and password. An activation e-mail will be sent to the provided address - click the link to activate your account.

You can log in with one click

Two-step verification (2FA)

In your account settings, you can enable 2FA using the TOTP app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.). Recommended for moderator and organizer accounts.

Log in → "My account" → "Change password". If you lose access, use the "Reset password" option on the login page.

Possible from account settings. The deletion is irreversible - it deletes all profile data, but public routes and trips can remain anonymized.
